Hi there, Can you please help me on this question as much as possible. My aim of my coursework is to investigate the effect changing the concentration of Hydrochloric Acid has its rate of reaction with Sodium Thiosulphate. Please can you e-mail the answer or as much information as possible Thanks a lot Halora,London
I did an experiment where I changed the concentration of hydrochloric acid to see how this would affect the rate of reaction. I reacted HCL with sodium thiosulphate. I kept the volume of sodium thiosulphate the same throughout each experiment (25cm3). I altered the amount of HCL and water: Volume of HCL (cm3) Volume of water (cm3) 1. 25 0 2. 20 5 3. 15 10 4. 10 15 5. 5 20 6. 0 25 25cm3 of sodium thiosulphate used each time. For my evaluation my teacher says i need to get more marks...please help! I got one anomous result. The results showed that as the concentration of HCL increases...the rate of reaction increases. I have to comment in detail on the reliabilty of the evidence, accounting for any anomalous results?????? Can you please name all of what could have happened in order for me to get the anomalous result?????? Please help...i really need the marks! Thankyou so much!

I have to propose improvements, or further work, to provide additional evidence for the conclusion, or to extend the enquiry. Please help me? Thankyou!!!!!!

I am carrying out a peice of coursework on the reaction between sodium thiosulphate (0.4mol) and hydrochloric acid(3 mol). the aim of the experiment is to determine the rate equation of the experiment by altering the concentrations of each subatance independantly. but i have a few queries: 1. what is created when sodium thiosulphate reacts with hydrochloric acid? does it make a salt? if so what is its name and formula? 2. is there any preliminary history to this experiment that you know of that i could include in my plan to improve the overall mark, as the internet has been prity fruitless as of yet. 3. can you give me an overall guide to how to plan my coursework? thank you very much Rachel
In my experiment I kept the concentration the same and varied the temp. I then timed how long it took for the cross to disappear. I have got 7 marks for analysis in this piece of coursework and I really want to get eight so what do I need to include in my work to get this mark? Thanks.
I am starting my coursework in chemistry on sodium thiosulphate + hydrochloric acid. My variable is temperature. When you add them together they go murky and start to form a solid. I have to time them to see how long it takes before it gets so murky that i cannot see a cross on a piece of white paper beneath the conical flask. The problem I have is that I have to do a preliminary and when I added the two together, the reaction was really fast and then when I halved the concentration of the hydrochloric acid it did not really go that much slower, it stayed at around 4 ceconds at 70 degrees Celcius and I need it to be at least 25 degrees. Could you possibly tell me what to do and give me some preliminary results? I'm using 50ml Sodium thiosulphate and 10ml hydrochloric acid. I also need to know what temperatures and what concentrations these ingredients were at when you got these results. Thank you ever so much, I would be really grateful if you could help.
Recently, I have done a redox titration between sodium triosulphate and iodine. However, I was asked why the thiosulphate solution and the star solution had to be prepared fresh. Moreover, how can I find the weight of iodine in an iodized tablet with the help of the titration result I would be grateful if you could help me. Thank You~~
i need help with my investigation into the rate of reaction between sodium thiosulphate and hcl help me plzzzzzz
I need some help with my conclusion. Im doing about reaction between Hydrochloric acid and sodium thiosulphate. Im increasing volume of sodium thiosulphate.
How factors effect the rate of reactions between Sodium Thiosulphate and Hydrochloric Acid
