Fernand asks:

I'm using a saturated solution of CuSO4 with about 10 % Copper Carbonat/Hydroxide to demonstrate purification and crystallization. On heating to 60C to dissolve I notice lots of bubbling action.

Is this coming from the decomposition of the carbonate?

etutor answers:
Some of it would be. There may be a little bit which is due to dissolved gases in the water coming out of solution.
