How do you know how much of solutions to use and how big to cut things like beetroot? To test the effect of pH on beetroot cells would you suggest using pH buffers or something else?
It would help if I knew what experiment you were talking about!!! It sounds as if it might be to do with permeability of beetroot membrane, but I'm not psychic! Buffers would normally be used for any experiment involving pH because they prevent variations in pH during the experiment.
