OCR Planning exercise

i have to plan an experiment to find out the effects of differing sugars and their concentrations on the rate of starch synthesis...only problem is i'm not entirely sure as to how to go about measuring the rate of starch synthesis!! any help would be great! thanx. :)

etutor answers:
You could take extracts of the reacytion mixture at regular intervals and test with iodine, noting the time taKen for a positive reaction to be produced.
