Marriage and Middlemarch

Asked by liv1 | Mar 4, 2004

You take a suitably analytical approach and your essay shows both knowledge and understanding. However, take care with expression at times. Notes:

1. marriages and pass her judgement as to the makings of a successful one [slightly awkward expression here]

2. . Through the inclusion of the finale, the reader learns, through a passage filled with cheery adjectives, that while Fred and Mary, - the couple who married for love, go on to achieve 'a solid mutual happiness', Rosamond and Lydgate's unhappy marriage, in which neither understands the other, is cut short by his early death. [overly complex sentence structure here]
