social order

Hi there, i guess im getting abit annoying with all the questions ive asked the e-tutors but the thing is that i have my exams on the 26th..Im working hard to get an A..
1 ‘Social order exists because people are afraid to disobey the rules of society.’ Explain and assess
this claim. [25]
The markschemes mentions the functionalist theory of value consenus and the marxist perspective of social order..informal/formal mechanisms of social order..all of which i know..although i dont know how to costruct my answer?and why people would be afraid?possibly because of the fear of being ridiculed or being looked down upon as bad examples but how am i suppose to elaborate on that?
The markscheme has also mentioned ideas of foucault and the concept of hegemony illustrating the relevence of cultural marxism as a bridge b/w functionalism and orthodox marxism..i have read abit on all that but dont understand it's relevance to social order?
i have exactly 16 days..please give me some tips on social perspectives and social stratification..im okay with research methods though..any sites for resources etc, anything at all ill really appreciate it
thanks alot in advance :-)
God bless

Interviews

'The data collected using interviews is socially constructed and for that reason it has little
value in sociological research.' Explain and assess this view. (25 marks)

Ive read through interviews thoroughly but this q confuses me abit. Im not too clear by what socially constructed means?I understand abit like how interviews are selective, that the usefulness of interviews depends largely upon how the sociologist interprets the interviewee, the interview effect etc but to get a really high mark i have to address the question clearly. how do i go abt doing that?
Thanks alot in advance!

social policy

what is meant by social policy?(2)
Ans. 1(a) Social policy refers to actions or objectives adopted by the government directed towards maintaining a certain condition of living conducive to human welfare. They are also policies adopted to counter social problems. For example, state pensions are arrangements to provide people with a certain amount of income once they have retired, become disabled or no longer earn income through employment.
describe 2 social problems in your society. (4)
Ans. 1(b) Social problems, as mentioned above, are problems, which directly or indirectly affect many members of the society. Child labor is very prevalent in Pakistan. Due to financial constrains many children are forced to earn a living for themselves and their families particularly in the carpet industry. Child labor does not only limits horizons with a consequent decline in literacy as children work at the expense of education. Another social problem faced by Pakistan is population growth. Many people consider large families as a blessing. This in turn increases the burden on government resources.

explain how some groups may benefit from having the power to define wat is considered a social problem.(8)
Ans. 1(c) Sociologists have argued that with the increased knowledge gained by undertaking sociological research certain groups may be in a better position to manipulate their subjects. For example, politicians can manipulate or appease their supporters. As business personnel have worked their way to achieve their status, in a meritocratic society they would be regarded as the respectable stratum of society and are therefore in a position to define what is considered a social problem. They can then respond to public wishes and remain popular in the market.
( i didnt understand this q clearly)
Q. d assess the view that sociological research should be used as a basis for solutions to social problems. (11)

Can u tell me how the first 3 answers are?and i need help with the last 2 questions?thanks Alot :)
