### Maths - Class 7 question

one grapefruit costs y pence. The cost of n such grapefruit is £L. Write down a formula for L.

Hey hi, hope dis is right

£q=20 x X

£L=Y x N

### How old is Eric?

Doug, Eric and Fred all wrote down their present ages and they added up to 45. They rotated their present ages through 180 degrees and then they added up to 183. Fred is 2 years older than Eric and Doug's age is the same upside down.

How old is Eric??

Eric's age = x

Doug = z

Fred = y

Fred is 2 years older than eric so y = x + 2

thus equation we are after:

x + (x+ 2) + z = 183

if Doug's age is same upside down it could either be 11, 33, 44, but it can't be 33 or 44 because these won't be figures if turned 180 degrees.

45 - 11 = 34

34 / 2 = 17

Thus Fred is 18 and Eric is 16.

eric's age = x= 16

doug = z = 11

fred = y = x + 2 = 18

16+11+18 = 45

Turn them upside down and you get

11 + 91 + 81 = 183!

Eric is 6 years of age.

### number

the answer is 490000000000

u times 7 by 7 u get 49 and then just add all the zero's on.

### Hard maths questoion

we a calculator and work out each bit at a time....and yeh..use BODMAS

by the way you don't really need the "<90>46"...

Its just the first half that you need to calculate

### Maths question

**What is 1000*75/12? I have to use a calculator for this but I havn't got one. **

**Can someone tell me what the answer is?**

**Thnx, Emma xxx**

its 6250

if you have windows:

look in programs then accessories calculator should be in there

### sum

2 x 2 = 2 + 2 = 4

2 x 3 = 2 + 2 + 2 = 6

2 x 4 = 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8

### help????

could anyone tell me wat and how to work out the diameter and radius and could anyone explain to me what formaulas you use.....

thanks.....

hi

you can work out the diameter he's the formulas

C = pie d

C = 2 pie r

Because the diameter is twice the length of the radius,

the formulas are easy jus txt me and i'll tell you..
